The venerable Khenpo Tsulnam Rinpoche is the Chief Abbot at the Palpung Lungrig Jampal Ling Higher Buddhist Institute in Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat and every year shares his time as much as he can and gives teachings and guides the Institute’s administration. Khen Rinpoche was Born in 1968, he became a monk at the age of 13. He has received numerous teachings and transmissions from many great masters. Rinpoche went to Serta Larung and he spent some more years under his Guru, HH Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche, studying especially the Dzogchen. He was enthroned Khenchen by Khenpo Pema Tsewang in Darjon Shedra. Khenpo Rinpoche currently travels extensively in other countries and teaches in many countries throughout the world.
Khenpo Tsulnam Rinpoche was invited by Tsewang Rinpoche to visit Yishin Norbu in Melbourne. Tsulnam Rinpoche shared that they have known each other for more than 30 years, first meeting in the early 90s when Khenpo Tsulnam Rinpoche went to study under H.H Jigme Phuntsok at Larung Gar Buddhist Academy. In recent years, although they are far apart, they still maintain close contact and care for each other. As the lineage of Tsewang Rinpoche from H.H Jigme Phuntsok is very close, this lineage is really pure and precious, which has a great blessing to sentient beings in Australia.
During his stay in Melbourne, Khenpo Tsulnam Rinpoche led devotees in meditation and conducted several dharma practices together with Tsewang Rinpoche, such as the Sand Mandala practice of Mahamaya peaceful deities, the Single Mind Kīla practice, and a Sādhana of Kurukullā. Accompanied by the devotees of Yishin Norbu, Khenpo Tsulnam Rinpoche visited the Melbourne Museum, SkyDeck, Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden and SkyHigh Dandenong where he left valuable blessings for Australia and the City of Melbourne. On the last day, Yishin Norbu offered Rinpoche with the Gesar Vajaria Dance to make good wishes for the harmony and peace of the world.
